Chase Grammar School celebrates success with 92% of students achieving A*-C on A-Level Results Day

Year 13 students from Chase Grammar School are rejoicing after opening their A-Level results with parents, teachers and friends today.

Eager students arrived at the Cannock-based independent school this morning to receive the outcome of months of hard work spent revising and sitting those all-important examinations.

Initial analysis of the results has shown that 92% of A Level entries at Chase Grammar School received A*-C grades and over a third achieved an A* or A grade.

Paul Silverwood, Principal at Chase Grammar School, said:

“We are proud of our Year 13 students and we would like to congratulate them on their fantastic results. This success is reflective of their hard work, the devotion and expertise of our teachers and our wonderful, supportive parents. In light of these results, our students have already secured places at some of the top universities in the country and we all share their feelings of relief and delight.

“We provide a strong foundation for our students here at Chase Grammar and strive to ensure they begin each chapter of their lives ready for the challenges ahead. Our curriculum provides a holistic learning experience to ensure that every student in our care reaches their full potential. I would like to say a final well done to all our Year 13 students who have maintained the high standards we  expect at Chase Grammar, and we wish them every success for the future and we’re very much looking forward to hearing about their progress. I’m sure they are going to enjoy their university years and hopefully they will follow their dreams and achieve great things.”

Abbie Sutton, a Year 13 student who started life at Chase Grammar School at the age of eight in the Preparatory School, will be going on to study International Developments at University of Sussex said:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have secured a place at University of Sussex. Having started here in the Prep School, it’s the end of an era for me. Although I’m entering a new chapter in my life, it’s certainly not goodbye forever.

“The support I’ve had from all of my teachers, particularly Mrs Simpson, Mr Clayton, Mr Tuxford and Ms Sanders, has been amazing – they’ve helped me every step of the way. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed my time here at Chase Grammar School – I’ve certainly benefitted from the smaller class sizes as it gives you that quality one-to-one time with the teachers.

Magnus Stephenson, who has been at the school since the age of two, was especially pleased with his results of an A in Geography, B in English Literature and B in Business; having completed his Business A Level in one year. He said:

‘I am really pleased with my results which has allowed me to go on to study Business Management at my first choice University; University of Sussex.’
