Easy to Make Biscuits   Shortbread Biscuit

 

Ingredients:-
250g Plain flour
175g Butter (softened)
100g Caster Sugar
1 Tablespoon Milk (if needed)
You’ll also need:-

Large Bowl
Pastry cutters 50mm/2” diameter.
Baking Tray
Cooling Rack
Method:-
1 Sift the flour into a bowl, add the other ingredients and knead until the mixture is a
soft consistency. (Do this by hand).
2 Roll out on a floured board and cut into fingers or for round biscuits use a 50mm/image1
2” cutter.
3 Place on lightly greased baking sheet – Chill in the fridge or 1.0 -1.5 hours.
4 Space out well apart on a baking tray before placing into the oven.
5 Heat the oven to 150/160 Degrees Centigrade.
6 Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
7 Dredge with caster sugar and cool on a wire rack.
You can add a flavour E.G. lemon/orange/lavender or almond. When adding the rest of the
ingredients.

Rolled Oat Biscuits

Ingredients:-
225g Butter (softened)
50g Soft Brown Sugar
50g Caster Sugar
175g Plain flour
100g Rolled oats
Pinch of Bicarbonate of Soda
Pinch of Salt
You’ll also need:-
Large Bowl
Pastry Cutters 50mm/2” diameter.
Baking Tray
Cooling Rack
Method:-
1 Heat the oven to 160 Degrees Centigrade.image2
2 Cream the Butter and Sugar by hand, or use a hand held whisk, until soft – then
work in all the other ingredients
3 Roll the dough out on a floured board, but do not make it too thin!
4 Cut into rounds or shapes and place on greased baking sheets.
5 Cook for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
6 Cool on a wire rack.
