Set To Restore The Whitehouse On The Green In Cannock Town Centre
The Whitehouse, on the Green in Cannock Town Centre Conservation and Regeneration Area is to regain its hierarchical place in this historic part of Cannock facing the Ancient Bowling green and providing a befitting back drop to this much loved area of the principle town of Cannock Chase.
After being empty for probably Two years or more following the College vacation and prior to that the Cannock Chase Council Offices new uses must be sought to bring this Grade 2 * Listed Building back into good use satisfying the aims and objectives of Cannock Chase Councils Town Centre Master Plan.
Fred and Sarah Pritchard through their property investment and development company ,Anglesey Real Estate Ltd working in conjunction with the Councils officers and the Councils aspirations and objectives are about to do just that now Planning and Listed Building Consent have just been granted.
New uses must be found for this Historic Building, which has been accomplished in the form of Two Restaurants, one named probably “The Green” and one named “Il Verde” (The Green) and hopefully a Wedding venue in “The Green” Restaurant which once the building was, being close to the only other building in Cannock of 2* status , St .Lukes Church.
The other parts of the ground floor will be a quality Ladies Boutique, perhaps with weddings in mind, a Beauty Parlour and Hair dressing with a photographic studio named after and in memory of Lord Lichfield who was known personally to Fred.
On the first and second floors and Championing the other Regeneration moto of “Living in the Town” will be 7 high standard Apartments similar to Fred’s and Sarah’s sister development over the way from the Whitehouse named after its illustrious past, “Newhall” build initially for the enlightenment of the Cannock populous where now features shopping ,leisure and living in the Town Centre to maintain vitality and vibrancy of the town complementing “The Whitehouse “.
Fred and Sarah are looking for established entrepreneurs to see this vision through once the building is restored and regenerated over probably a six month time span and at a cost in excess of £1,000,000 to put Cannock Chase once more at the forefront where people will come from all over to enjoy not only the benefits and Beauty of “The Chase” but a Regenerated Cannock Town and the other two towns of The Chase, Hednesford and Rugeley.
