Man charged with attempted murder following Wolverhampton stabbing

 

A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was found with multiple stab wounds outside a block of flats in Wolverhampton.

Police were called by ambulance colleagues to Longfield House in Tithe Croft, Heath Town, at 8.20pm on Sunday night (22 April) where a man was found with stab wounds to his torso.

The man, understood to be in his 20s, remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Aldivynas Jurkevicius − a 39-year-old Lithuanian man − was arrested and has now been charged with attempted murder.

Jurkevicius, from Hobgate Road in Wolverhampton, is set to appear before magistrates in Walsall on Wednesday (25 April).

A 49-year-old woman has also been arrested in connection with the stabbing and has been bailed until next week while police enquiries continue.
