School celebrates success as A Level results rise for fifth year running

The Hart School Sixth Form is celebrating its A Level results improving for the fifth consecutive year.

The Rugeley school has recorded year-on-year successes since it became part of Creative Education Trust.

The average grades that students are achieving has not only risen but it has also had “exceptional performance” in its vocational subjects with an average grade of a starred Distinction.

An ecstatic Head of Sixth Form, Ben Brennan, said: “There are more Hart School students than ever gaining results at A*-B – with over 50% of students getting the top grades.

“We also have consistently excellent results in the design subjects, with an average grade of a B, and outstanding performance in Sociology, where the average grade was an A!

“We’re absolutely delighted that more students than ever will be accepting places at university with over 80% of students eligible to accept their first or second choice of course.”

The Hart School Sixth Form prides itself on designing it’s A Level curriculum on what each intake of students wants to study, and has introduced several courses on the back of listening to its students.

The Sixth Form will be based in Penkridge Bank Road from September as part of the school’s move to one site to consolidate students, teachers and resources.

Principal Chris Keen added: “This year we’re incredibly proud that three of our students were able to reach the interview stage of the Oxbridge application and more of our students than ever before will be going to the top Russell Group universities.

“The school’s move to one site in September will help us build even greater success for the coming academic years.”

Notable student successes from The Hart School include: Katie Hodson A*AA Biology, French, Maths; John Langston AAA Biology, Maths, Psychology; Emily Kuhn A*AB Psychology, English, Biology; Connor Brighton A*BB Psychology, Law, History; Cameron Deakin AAB Maths, Psychology, Physics; Emma Vincent AAB English’ French, Law; and Harry Murdoch A*AC Geography, Sociology, and French.
