Armed cops swooped in to arrest a man on suspicion of making threats to kill.
A 33-year-old, from Rugeley, was detained in relation to an incident which happened in Cannock yesterday (Saturday, August 17).
The man is now in police custody and will be questioned by officers in due course.
Staffordshire Police said the arrest, which took place at a property in Rugeley Road, Armitage, this afternoon (Sunday, August 17) led to some disruption on roads.
A spokesman for the force said: “A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill following an incident in Cannock yesterday.
“Firearms officers supported uniform colleagues in attending an address in Rugeley Road, Armitage, earlier this afternoon.
“A man from the Rugeley area was arrested and is now in custody.
