Autumnal weather update.
Written by Steve Hopley on September 21, 2020
Last week I started talking about Autumnal weather would be arriving during the week.
Well the big change is on cue the Autumn Equinox for 2020 in Northern Hemisphere will be at 14:30 tomorrow Tuesday 22nd.
The weather will begin changing from Wednesday when we will see some rain and showers and a drop in temperatures. The jet stream will dip South of the UK and we will see some Atlantic driven weather with wind and rain and colder air from the Arctic region at times especially during the weekend.
The 9 day panel image shows the colder air mass well and you can see low pressure systems. The jet stream follows the boundaries between the big changes in the air temperatures.
So get ready to change into your jumpers and put your heating on, daytime temperatures will struggle to rise into single figures with 12 degrees being the maximum.
