Chance to win FREE entry to Burton's only escape rooms this weekend

Five mysterious keys are set to appear in Burton this weekend – find one to win a game at Burton’s only escape rooms.
Organisers from Escape Time, which is situated above Pinocchio’s restaurant in the town’s High Street , will be storing away keys across the town between 9am on Saturday, June 15 and 9pm on Sunday, June 16.
If you find one of these between these times, you will win a free game of your choice.
Escape Time opened in the town in February 2019, with two games available at launch – Prison X and Sam’s Saloon.
The firm is part of Sutton Coldfield-based Bartlett Leisure Limited, with escape rooms already open in Sutton Coldfield and St Ives in Cornwall.
The concept sees participants locked in a room for an hour, with a series of puzzles and mysteries which need to be solved to get out.
The key hunt around Burton coincides with the launch of the firm’s newest instalment – their third game opening.
Billed as “not for the faint-hearted”, the new game will be called The Basement and revolves around a spooky home where three bodies were once found.
All players must be aged 16 or older, in good health and not suffering from ongoing back or neck injuries or have any heart conditions.
The Basement officially opens on Friday, June 14.
To give treasure hunters an extra hand, the “Escape Time Riddler” will also be lurking around the town, ready to give people hints on where to find a key.
Escape Time will also be releasing clues on their social media platforms throughout the weekend.
Director of Escape Time Leah Bruce said: “In addition while searching, Escape Time suggest that you ask people if they are the ‘Escape Time Riddler’, as one of the team will be out and about in disguise in the town centre as the Escape Time Riddler.
“Should you ask them the question they will give you an extra hint as to where you can locate one of the five keys.
“The Escape Time Riddler could be about at any point during this time but Escape Time HQ will be sure to hack into their mobile device and send you some clues as to their location via their social media platforms to give you a chance of gaining a bonus clue.”
It is eventually hoped Escape Time will host five games in total, on top of the existing two, Prison X, Sam’s Saloon and The Basement.
Prison X sees people having to overcome a number of obstacles and puzzles to get out of a “prison”, while the second game sees punters hunt for gold in a western saloon.
Escape Time is open seven days a week, from 10am until 9.30pm.
The cost of a game lowers with more people on a team. For example, a two person game is £44, or £22 a head, while for six people, it is £90, or £15 each.
