Bonjour to “boules” in Cannock Park
Cries of “Bravo!” and “Bien joué” could be heard in the parks of Staffordshire last week as JLH Languages held its first boules tournament to commemorate the 14th July, France’s national day.
JLH Languages teaches French to adults in a creative and innovative way, concentrating on practical French taught in full sentences rather than single words. There are classes to suit all abilities which take place in various locations in the local area.
Jane Handley, owner of JLH Languages, who organised the tournaments for her students said, “We all enjoyed ourselves and it gave the students a chance to use their knowledge of French in a real and practical way.”
The students had been learning all about the French game in the lessons before the tournament. They were able to give a commentary of the game in French as well as shouting words of encouragement and commiseration to their team mates.
If you would like to keep your mind healthy and active by learning French as well as having fun and meeting new people, free taster sessions are available in September. To book your free place or to find out more information email email@example.com call 07793 556020
