Reanne Evans eyes Ronnie O'Sullivan clash at Champion of Champions in Coventry

Reanne Evans is hoping to face five-time world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan after qualifying for snooker's Champion of Champions event.Britain's top female player will become the first woman to compete against the world's best men in the televised tournament in Coventry. Her place at the 16-player event was confirmed when O'Sullivan won the Shanghai Masters. "It's brilliant news. I'd like to play Ronnie I think," said Evans, 33."I have played against him a couple of times in exhibitions and played with him. The crowds love him, so the atmosphere would be amazing."The Champion of Champions, which takes place at the Ricoh Arena from 4 to 10 November, features tournament winners from the previous 12 months.Qualifiers are guaranteed a minimum of £12,500, with the winner earning £150,000, while total prize money for the 2019 women's world championship was £15,000.Evans told BBC Sport she hopes the event, which sees players drawn into groups of four, can be "a big step forward" for the women's game and snooker in general."It's not going to be easy, but it will be a great experience. You dream of playing in such events at those kind of venues," said Evans, who is from Dudley in the West Midlands."It's fairly local and I've been as a spectator, so to get to play there will be class." Media playback is not supported on this device Evans triumphed for a 12th time this year at the Women's World Snooker Championship, which this season was listed 27th on the list of qualifying events for the Coventry tournament. It meant she needed players to pick up multiple titles from events higher up the list - but her place was assured when defending champion O'Sullivan took the Shanghai Masters, having already qualified as UK champion, Players champion and Tour Championship winner.O'Sullivan, who has won the Champions of Champions tournament three times and finished second twice since it was first held in 2013, is set to play again along with fellow former champions John Higgins, Neil Robertson and Shaun Murphy. The tournament, which is shown on ITV4, features four groups of four players over four days, with the winner of each group reaching the semi-finals.Earlier this year, Evans made history along with Emma Parker at the Snooker Shoot Out as they became the first women to play on television in the final stages of a ranking event in the UK. But Evans has never played competitive matches on television against opponents in the world top 16.Parker won the UK Women's Under-21 title at the weekend, while Evans took the overall title for a ninth time to extend her unbeaten run on the Women's World Snooker Tour to 11 months, with seven consecutive victories.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Sporting Braga

BBC coverageHow to follow:Listen on BBC Radio 5 live and BBC local radio; text commentary on the BBC Sport websiteRuben Neves says the Wolves' run in Europe has not contributed to their poor Premier League start.Nuno Espirito Santo's side finished seventh last season but are winless this term after advancing to the Europa League group stage following six qualifying games."Fatigue doesn't have anything to do with it, we're all top players and are used to it," Neves said. "The Europa League doesn't have anything to do with our position."Wolves have beaten Armenian side Pyunik and Serie A club Torino to reach the main stage of a European competition for the first time since 1980. The Black Country club's route to their opening Group K fixture - a first-ever meeting with Braga - began against Crusaders in July, meaning they have played nearly twice as many matches as most of their domestic rivals."It's been a beautiful journey into the Europa League and it's a historic moment for Wolves; we're going to do our best," Portugal midfielder Neves added."It hasn't been an easy start to the season - we've had extra Europa League qualifying games and the Premier League is the best league in the world. "You are always going to have these moments in the season and we need to return to winning ways as soon as possible."We have these games ahead of us and the most important thing is the game tomorrow. Our objective is to win the game. It'll be difficult but we're going game-by-game."Team newsWolves head coach Nuno has no injury worries with Ryan Bennett expected to be available after he missed the 5-2 home defeat by Chelsea in the Premier League last Saturday.Left winger Wilson Eduardo and defender Vitor Tormena could both be absent for Braga, who finished fourth in Portugal's Primeira Liga last term.Braga coach Ricardo Sa Pinto has no other major injury concerns although his side have - like Wolves - made a disappointing start domestically, sitting a point above the relegation zone after one win in their opening five games.Match factsThis will be the first competitive meeting between Wolves and Braga.Wolves have won five of their six previous meetings with Portuguese opponents (L1), though all of those came between 1971 and 1974.Braga have only won one of their eight away matches against English opposition (D2 L5), beating Birmingham 3-1 in the 2011-12 Europa League. The Portuguese side have never lost their opening group stage game in the Europa League before, winning three and drawing one. All three of those wins have come in away games. This is Wolves' first appearance in a major European competition since the 1980-81 Uefa Cup. They won all six of their Europa League qualifiers this season, netting 19 goals, with Diogo Jota having a hand in eight of those goals (three goals, five assists).

Country In My Veins

12:00amMonday

Country In My Veins Country In My Veins brings the best of Classic, Contemporary and Emerging Country music. Born out of a passion for the genre this sixty minute syndicated UK radio show can be heard online and on community radio stations across the land. Presented and produced by Ali Donowho, Ali has been a radio presenter for nearly six years and has been involved in many different formats of radio shows but always returns to his main music genre of Country. Having been a fan since his early teens, he has grown a love and knowledge of the artists and the scene, sometimes being described as ‘geeky’ with his almost eidetic memory of facts. Always entertaining and very much off the cuff with his thoughts on the music
