Live: M6 closed after crash causes heavy delays

A crash is causing heavy delays on the M6 in Staffordshire this evening.

Highways England says the crash has happened between Junction 10a for Essington and Junction 10 for Walsall.

Traffic is building all the way up to Junction 11 for Cannock.

A tweet from Highways England says: “All lanes are currently blocked due to a Road traffic collision on #M6 Southbound between J10a #Essington /M54link and J10 #Walsall ,.

#TrafficOfficers are on route. Congestion has already started to back up to J11.”

Our colleageus at Stoke-on-Trent Live are also reported another crash in the county which has closed the A527 Congleton Road from Fold Lane to Baileys Bank, just north of Biddulph Grange Gardens in Biddulph.
