Man given CPR after horror smash with lorry at Rugeley industrial estate

Firefighters administered CPR to critically-injured man who was trapped after a horror two-vehicle smash at an industrial estate.
The man – who has not been named – was taken to hospital after the smash in Redbrook Lane, Rugeley, just after 9.10am on Friday, November 22.
Staffordshire Police said the crash involved a lorry and another vehicle at Hawkins Logistics.
A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: “Officers were called to a report of a man who sustained serious injuries following an incident at Hawkins Logistics on Redbrook Industrial Estate in Rugeley at around 9.18am this morning.
“The man is currently in critical but stable condition in hospital. The incident is now in the hands of the Health and Safety Executive.”
Firefighters administered CPR after freeing the trapped man.
A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service added: “The fire service was called to Redbrook Lane, Rugeley at 9.15am today to reports of a collision involving a lorry and another vehicle.
“Crews from Lichfield and Cannock attended and found one male casualty trapped and injured. Firefighters administered CPR and the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“Firefighters left the scene 10.30am.”
