Lee Bannister

Lee Bannister has been involved broadcasting since his school days, working first in Radio and later in Television.

He worked at the legendary Beacon Radio from 1989-2000, later at Heart FM in Birmingham and then WCR FM in Wolverhampton where he made a Saturday Morning Grown-Up-Kids Show called “UpAndHappy!” which ran for over 10 years in the noughties!

He moved to Big Centre TV (later known as Made in Birmingham) from 2015 where he presented and produced a range of programmes, including the Nightly News bulletins, the Weekend News Magazine… and a series of special programmes about the famous Midlands Soap Opera “Crossroads”.

Oh, and he was also responsible for re-runs of classic editions of “Tiswas” too (and got a pie in the face from the Phantom Flan Flinger as a result)!

Lee has helped produce a series of international award winning DVD documentaries about local television station ATV.

And now, with Cannock Chase Radio he’s really enjoying being back on the radio, and also pushes lots of buttons behind the scenes too. Well you know, it keeps him busy…
