Incredible new bird’s eye images show progress at the constantly evolving McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands site.
Dubbed the ‘Bicester Village of the Midlands’, the £160 million project will be home to around 80 discount designer stores and high street favourites when it opens in Cannock next autumn.
Stunning drone photographs have been captured by Staffordshire Bird’s Eye View Photography , showing building facades are almost complete, ready for the internal fit-outs of the outlet shops to start in early 2020.
Mike Thomas, centre manager for the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands, told Black Country Live: “Work at the site is progressing well, with building facades coming on nicely and store fit-out works due to start next year.
“We’re really looking forward to opening in autumn 2020 and our thanks go out to everyone locally who has supported this exciting new retail destination throughout its journey so far, paving the way for new jobs and what is set to be a major economic boost for Cannock.”
Around 2,500 people will be working on the site over the duration of the project, and once fully open, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands will create 1,000 new retail jobs.
