Outlook from the JMA for the next four weeks.

Written by on July 24, 2020

This is the latest outlook for the next four weeks from the Japanese Met Agency the JMA. It is not meant to be a forecast but a general outlook. I have added the 3 images together and rotated them and added a red line so you can see the UK. Blue colours are low pressure area’s and oranges high pressure area’s.

Week 1, 23rd July to 29th.

Low pressure is over the UK and this will bring above average rainfall with temperature 2-3 degrees below average.

Week 2, 30th July to 5th August.

Low pressure remains over the UK bringing above average rainfall and the temperatures a couple of degrees below average.

Week 3-4, 6th August to 19th.

Slack air pressures around southern parts of the UK with low pressure over northern area. This would bring around average temperatures and around average rainfall. Northern parts of the UK would be cooler with above average rainfall.
