Police appeal after lewd comments allegedly made on Cannock bus

Police have appealed for the public’s help to identify a middle-aged man after lewd comments were made on a bus in Cannock.
The comments were allegedly made on an Arriva bus, which was travelling between Cannock Bus Station and Bridgtown, on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 17.
Staffordshire Police has now released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
Officers have urged the man to come forward and appealed for anyone who may recognise him to get in touch.

A spokesman for the force said: “Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after lewd comments were made by a passenger while on a bus in Cannock.
“The incident took place at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, July 17, on an Arriva bus, travelling on route one from Cannock Bus Station to Bridgtown.
“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was on the bus and may have witnessed the incident itself or saw anyone acting suspiciously.”
The man is described as white, medium build and aged between 50 and 60-years-old. He has short grey hair and a moustache. At the time, he was wearing glasses, an orange t-shirt, dark blue jeans and a black jacket.
