Thirty firefighters were battling a blaze at an industrial unit in Pendeford this afternoon.
Crews were called to Valiant Way, at around 11.30am today, Friday, January 3.
West Midlands Fire Service worked with colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue to tackle the flames and urged the public to avoid the area.
Breathing equipment and hose reel jets were used to put out the blaze, but the cause was not clear.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: “We got a call at 11.30am. It was a 999 call, which had come from Staffordshire Fire. We have got four fire engines in attendance, from Wolverhampton, Tettenhall, Willenhall and Fallings Park.
“So about 20 firefighters in total. The incident is still on-going but it looks like the fire has been extinguished.
“We had four firefighters in breathing apparatus. We are now carrying out checks on where the fire had taken place.”
