Three Birmingham men arrested after smashing Audi windows in bid to steal car

Three men – all from Birmingham – have been taken into custody by police.
Cops have apprehended the trio after they were spotted on a Staffordshire driveway having put through the windows of an Audi.
The Audi S5 – worth upwards of £30,000 new – was parked on Hill Street in Rugeley, in Staffordshire.
The men smashed the glass in the early hours of the morning yesterday (November 12), reports StokeonTrentLive .
Officers from the Staffordshire Police Response team later stopped a car on Rugeley Road in Armitage and three men – all from Birmingham – were taken into custody.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Officers were called at 2am to reports that three men were attempting to steal an Audi from a driveway and had smashed the window to gain access to the vehicle.
“A 42-year-old and two 19-year-olds, all from Birmingham, were taken into custody after a vehicle was stopped on Rugeley Road in Armitage.”
