Firefighters are at the scene of a house fire in Wolverhampton.
Crews raced to the scene in Finchfield Lane in the Merry Hill area of the city, at 12.51pm today (Tuesday, August 20).
The blaze, which started in one of the bedrooms, was being tackled by crews from Wolverhampton, with a total of eight firefighters at the scene.
There were no reports of casualties as no one was inside the property at the time.
A photograph from the scene posted on Twitter by the fire service shows the house cordoned off and the upstairs windows open in a bid to ventilate the property following the fire, which started in the back bedroom.
A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service said: “We were called at 12.51pm to reports of smoke issuing from a bathroom window.
“There were no people involved as no one was in the property at the time.
“The fire started in the back bedroom but it is now out.”
Crews are still at the scene, carrying out further checks and investigating the cause of the blaze.
